The ZOL Jumpstart Challenge Finals event is a startup contest that follows after the BarCamp Zimbabwe 2012 held on 6 September and the Jumpstart Challenge startup pitching event that was held on 7 September. The challenge was applied to by a total 43 Zimbabwean tech startups, 20 of which were selected to pitch on 6 September.

The 6 September pitching produced a short list of 10 Startups who then pitched the following day to our panel of judges who include the ZOL founder & CEO, David Behr, the Adrenalin Advertising founder and CEO, Bester Zambuko, a Econet VAS technical specialist, Mathew Masiyazi, Econet Chief Commercial Officer Leon de Fleuriot, and Zim VC firm Matamba Anonaka founder Geoff Goss.

Finalists that came out of the 7 September Pitching are listed here and will battle it out on 14 September at the Bronte Hotel. They are all being given detailed feedback by the judges and will have ongoing communication with them in order to refine their ideas and execution strategy. The 14 September pitching will be to the same group of judges.
